# AI Knowledge Systems for Automotive Teams | Zero to Sixty Lab Source: https://zerotosixtylab.com/automotive/operational-knowledge/ AUTOMOTIVE / OPERATIONAL KNOWLEDGE Where’s the current procedure? A staff member asks how to handle a task. Someone sends a document, someone else remembers an update, and nobody is sure which version applies. Could a small knowledge tool help? Choose the questions first. Collect the questions staff actually ask about one process. Then find the approved documents that should answer them and the person responsible for keeping those documents current. Keep the first set small enough to review properly. Agree who may see the material before putting it into a prototype. Make every answer checkable. Build a prototype that finds the relevant passage, answers the question and shows its source. It should say when the documents don’t contain an answer. Try conflicting instructions, an old document and a question outside the material. Ask someone who knows the process to check the answers and citations. See what happens when things change. Update a procedure and check that the tool uses the new version. Test whether staff can see only the documents they’re allowed to access. Keep track of wrong answers and the time people spend checking them. A useful next step needs a content owner, a way to retire old material and a place to report mistakes. We can work through this together. This is an example of a project we could explore in the 90-day programme. Your team builds it, with my teaching and review along the way. We use Intent-to-System Engineering to keep the tests connected to the job. OTHER APPLICATIONS OPERATIONS Vehicle readiness Find out why a vehicle is waiting and who needs to act.
